CQUniversity is committed to excellence in research and innovation and strives to achieve relevance in our research goals through linkages with industry, business, government and the community, and through collaboration with national and international researchers and their respective networks. CQUniversity’s new multi-million dollar research precinct is set to put Central Queensland on the word map for scientific innovation. By 2012, projects covering everything from natural resources, to water, to environmental management, to immunology and preventative health, will be brought ‘in house'.
Campus Locations
CQUniversity has campuses in the heart of some of Australia’s most popular urban destinations: Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. Alternatively, students can experience the outback and the beach at Rockhampton, situated in magnificent Central Queensland. There are also regional campuses in Bundaberg, Gladstone and Mackay. Some programs are taught on a number of campuses, in a consistent manner, allowing students to transfer between CQUniversity campuses and see more of Australia.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available in all disciplines at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level of study and are provided in recognition of academic excellence, and / or research potential.
Student Support
Students have access to extensive and free academic, welfare and career support from staff experienced in delivering higher education programs to students from a diverse range of cultural and educational backgrounds.

Social Integration Initiatives
CQUniversity has implemented a range of student activities and services to promote improved social integration for international students on and off campus. These social integration activities commence as soon as the students arrive on campus. A fully facilitated enrolment process allows students to integrate with staff members from all areas of the campus including academic staff. Students are timetabled into a thorough orientation program which includes social activities. External guest speakers are invited to participate in orientation such as community police officers and health fund representatives.
Other social integration activities are scheduled throughout each term. These include sporting activities, functions to celebrate a wide range of cultural festivals, community activities and communication activities such as English conversation corner, interviewing skills workshops, oral communication workshops and academic writing workshops.
Work-related activities include practitioner presentations, volunteer conference support and job seeking skills workshops. In addition, students are invited to participate in the campus Environmental Committee, the Academic-Student Liaison Group and the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
