About the Event:

Fifty years ago marks the beginning of strong bilateral and diplomatic ties between Korea and Australia. After the Korean War, Australia and Korea became firm allies, sharing strategic interests, complementary economies and driving mutual prosperity for the future.

Roxby Media and the Australia Korea Business Council are proud to co-host Australia Korea Celebrating 50 Years of Friendship Sydney Launch. This event is designed to connect business, governments and executives and to facilitate the communication and understanding of the business opportunities that exist on a bilateral basis between Australia and Korea, as well as celebrating 2011 as the 50th anniversary of these diplomatic relations between Korea and Australia.

Confirmed speakers include NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell and
Korean Ambassador To Australia H.E. Dr. Kim Woo-Sang.

The event will be a half day business briefing from 9am - 1pm (with registration at 8:30am). Industry specific sessions include Policy & Engagement, Professional Services, Education & Research and Infrastructure & Resources. There will be networking opportunities during morning tea.

The launch will also feature a performance by Synergy Percussion, who have an enviable international reputation as one of Australia’s finest and most versatile music projects, having performed at festivals throughout Europe, Asia and the United States, as well as most of Australia’s mainstage recital and performance venues.
